Enamel Seascape Collection

Hand painted, kiln-fired vitreous enamel on copper. The creative processes involved ensure each and every piece is unique. After the firing process, the pieces are rough polished to reveal a textured copper beach beneath the enamel waves. This collection was inspired by my great love for the sea. Available to purchase in the online shop.

How to Care for Enamel and Copper Jewellery

Copper has a naturally warm, rosy glow and over time it may slowly darken or develop a soft patina. That’s completely natural – many people love the character it brings. If you prefer to keep your copper bright and shiny, it’s easy to freshen it up now and then.

A simple clean with things you probably already have at home works wonderfully. A little lemon juice and salt, or white vinegar and salt, rubbed gently with a soft cloth will lift any tarnish. Rinse with water afterwards and dry it well. You can also use a copper cleaner if you prefer.

After cleaning, just make sure your jewellery is completely dry before putting it away. Keeping pieces in a jewellery box or a small pouch helps prevent scratches, slows tarnishing and keeps them looking their best.

For everyday wear, a couple of small habits make a big difference. It’s best to take jewellery off before swimming or showering, and try to avoid direct contact with perfumes, lotions or household cleaners. Putting jewellery on last when getting ready is a good rule of thumb.

Enamel is durable but should be treated a little like glass or ceramic – avoid dropping it, bending it or knocking it against hard surfaces. A gentle wipe with a soft cloth is usually all it needs to keep it clean and glossy.
