I am an artist, jeweller and teacher based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Like many, I find great solace in the natural world; my work is inspired by the ebbs and flows, the changing light and the space found in nature. I am continually in awe of the sky, the sea and my local landscape and can happily while away the hours just gazing at the ever-shifting light. I enjoy capturing these moments of magic in a range of media including oil, acrylic, water colour and vitreous enamel.

Having been lucky enough to experience the awesome phenomenon of starling murmurations, I felt compelled to explore the sense of escapism and peace these experiences evoked. Watercolour felt like the obvious choice of medium as the forms the paint takes as it flows across the paper echo the movements of the murmurations themselves. I now make visits to the Somerset Levels each winter to watch the starlings and create paintings inspired by my experiences.

Similarly, I am also spellbound by the sea and the drama of coastal landscapes carved by waves. They are the source of inspiration for my kiln-fired enamel on copper jewellery collection, and many of my paintings.

Alongside my studio practice, I also teach enamelling workshops, having taught at venues such as Nutgrove House in Painswick, Prema Arts Centre in Uley, Victoria Works Studios in Chalford and Bristol Creative Space. I also run monthly art wellbeing workshops for the wonderful charity People for You.

Over the years, I have delivered commissions for private and media clients, including a large seascape created for ITV’s Broadchurch. I am currently exhibiting in the Five Valleys Gallery, Stroud. My artwork and jewellery are also available at WWT Slimbridge Gallery and The Square Gallery, St Mawes, Cornwall.
